What could be a piece of bad news for a blogger?

To make this news good, you need to write SEO-friendly content.

Without wasting time, let’s learn some SEO article writing tips.

How to Write SEO-Friendly Content

Everybody loves more traffic on their site, for that, you need SEO-friendly content writing tips.

The full form of SEO is Search Engine Optimization.

You are writing SEO-friendly content, this means that you are telling Google on what topic your article has been written on.

SEO-optimized content will give search engine ranking juice to the blog or website. Your article will be ranked on top of Google, and you will get more traffic on your blog.

To write SEO-friendly content follow the below given tips.

1. Keyword Research

Keyword research is the foundation of SEO-optimized articles. If you are not doing the keyword research, you are making a big mistake.

The first question in your mind is, what is this keyword?

There is no rocket science in this. Whatever Phrase and Sentence you search on Google, is your keyword

Just like you search on Google “What is blogging”. This is your keyword.

Now the next question is, which keyword would be better. For this, you have to use tools like “Google Keyword Planner“.

From this tool, you can do research about your keyword volume CPC, and all.

Choose those keywords whose competition is not very high or not very low.

Use the Long Tail Keyword because the advantage of the long tail keyword is that it can also rank the Short Tail Keyword too.

Let’s explain to you what the long tail keyword is and what is the short tail keyword.

How to Start a Blog from Scratch and Make Money” This is your long-tail keyword.

But if you write “Start a Blog, ” this is a short-tail keyword. But there is also a short tail keyword in the above keyword (start a blog).

What I mean is, use the Longtail keyword, the short tail keyword will automatically rank.

For deep research, I will recommend you to go for Semrush. It is the best tool to do deep keyword research. Check out Semrush Tutorial & Review – How To Use It For More Traffic.

2. Place the keyword in Title

You have to choose your title. And remember one thing, always include your targeted keyword in your Blog title.

Always try to use your focus keywords in the title of your blog post. This will give straight instructions to the Search engine about the topic on which you want to rank your blog in Search Engine Result Pages.

Place The Keyword In Title

These are the tips that every blogger must use to make their blog post SEO-friendly. Not only me, but pro bloggers like Neil Patel, Brian Dean and almost every pro blogger always use this to make their blog posts SEO friendly.

3. Use Keyword in your first paragraph

You must also pay attention to this, whenever you write an article, you must first use the keyword in the first paragraph. That would be helpful for SEO.

If you are writing an article that has the name “Digital Marketing Quotes” then you have to include that keyword in your blog’s first 100 words. I mean “digital marketing quotes” should be written in paragraphs anywhere.

But keep one thing in mind your keyword is written in a natural way. Do not write the keyword knowingly and repeatedly against Google’s guidelines. this will be known as keyword stuffing.

Let me show you an example for a better understanding.

Use Keyword In Your First Paragraph

4. Use Image Alt Tag

No search engine can read the image. Rather you have to tell the search engine that you have used the image, and the image is related to it. You must enter the name of the image in the alt tag.

If you have an Image of SEO then you have to type SEO in the alt tag. This is where the search engine detects what the image is about. Use keywords in the alt tag, this will optimize your article better.

One more thing compressed images will help you reduce the page load time and that’s also important for ranking on top of Google.

5. Use Heading and Subheading (H2 and H3 Tag)

Using Heading and Subheading is itself an SEO. Form Heading, visitors will know what is actually written inside.

Let’s understand this with an example.

Let us assume your focus keyword is “Affiliate Booster Review“. Then you have to use headings and subheadings so that it will present the article in a hierarchy.

Let’s see an example below.

H1: Affiliate Booster Coupon Code for Discount
• H2: What is Affiliate booster
• H3: Affiliate booster Pros and Cons
• H3: Affiliate Booster Review
• H3: Features of GeneratePress Premium Theme

H2: How to Claim Affiliate Booster Coupon Code
• H3: Coupon Code
• H3: Step By Step Guide to Claim It.

This is how you have to use headings and subheadings within your content. It will make your article more prominent to both users and search engines.

You can do this after writing the whole post. This is also a good way to write an SEO-friendly topic. In this, you just need to bold the focus and related keywords. It will be easy to focus on the keyword by the search engine. (This does not mean that you should bold everyone).

Outbound links are links that point to some other domain from your site.

When you link out to related domains, it not only helps the search engine understand your niche but also helps to increase the trust and quality of your site which plays a vital role in your blog’s SEO.

Here are some benefits that you will get by using outbound links within your content.

  • Give search engines a clear idea about your blog Niche.
  • Create Your Blog Authority on Google.
  • It also helps in networking with other bloggers in the same niche.

So must use 4 to 5 outbound links in your blog post to boost your ranking.

Internal Links to Related Article This means, linking another post in the middle of your article.

If you have written a quality article in your article related to the Hosting review, then you can link the “A2 Hosting Review” post in the middle.

It will help you in increasing engagement on your blog or website. Visitors will continue to read the second post on your site. The Bounce Rate will also be intact.

Let me show you my organic keywords rise after doing proper internal linking.

9. Write High-Quality Content

Whatever SEO you do, if you do not write for User then there is no use. I mean you have written quality content, Relevant content, User-readable content, and Complete content.

You wrote in a manner that he/she thought that I got what I needed. You also pay attention to Article length. You have to write an article of at least 700 words.

When you write quality content then forget about SEO, if your content is genuine and user-friendly then Google will surely rank that.

10. SEO Friendly Blog URL

The Blog URL plays an important role in terms of Search Engine Optimizing. Enter a URL that contains just the keyword.

For example, your keyword is what is blogging. Then your blog URL should be “bloggingqna.com/what-is-blogging/”. This is the perfect URL.

The best practice for SEO-friendly URLs is to use the focus keyword that you want your page to rank for.

Why?

When you include a keyword in your URL, that keyword tells Google: “This page content is all about that keyword”.

Now let me show you some SEO-friendly URL examples of pro bloggers.

11. Use Meta Description

In Meta Description, you have to summarize the entire article.

Whenever you publish the post, you should first see the Meta Description once. In this, you have to use the keywords you have used in your post’s Heading, Title description, and subheading.

It tells Google that your post is about which topic. Google also makes it easy to search. This description should be approximately 140-150 words. You should never copy Meta Descriptions. Must use the related keyword.

12. Use Long Tail Keywords

Focusing on long-tail keywords is a great SEO practice. Long-tail keywords are keywords or key phrases that are more specific – and usually longer than the short-tail and highly competitive keywords.

For Beginners and newbies who just have started their blog. Long-tail keywords are the best keywords for them to target. And with long-tail keywords, the rate of conversion is higher because the audience is very targeted, as they are more specific.

Here are some of the benefits that you will get if you target long-tail keywords in your blog.

  • Long-tail keywords are easy-to-rank keywords.
  • Long-tail keywords have better conversion rates
  • Long-tail keywords help you rank for single-targeted keywords
  • Better targeted traffic
  • Long-tails already include your short-tail keywords

13. Must Use LSI Keywords

LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) are similar to what search engines use to deeply understand the content on a webpage. Using LSI Keywords within your content, Google will rank your site better for that specific topic in SERPs.

One thing I should point out:

LSI Keywords are NOT synonyms. Instead, they’re terms that are closely tied to your target keyword.

For example, take a word like: “jogging”.

Well, “running” is just a synonym of “jogging”.

Now:

There’s nothing wrong with using that synonym in your article (in fact, it can help with your on-page SEO).

But it’s not an LSI Keyword.

LSI keywords for “jogging” are things like: “shoes”, “cardio” and “5k”.

But the biggest problem is: How to find LSI keywords for your target keyword?

The best way to Find LSI Keywords are Google suggested search terms or Google autocomplete.

Let me show you some screenshots of LSI keywords using Google autocomplete and related search terms.

14. Use Power words in Your Blog post titles

Power words get people excited about the product or service being offered and help them take that action.

Using power words in your title or description will also help you in increasing your organic CTR and this leads to a higher search ranking in Google.

A partial list of some typical power words includes:
• Now
• Proven
• Exclusive
• Bonus
• Power
• Powerful
• How to
• Results
• Guarantee

Try and experiment with these powerful words within your title and see the results in your ranking. There are many more powerful words there
you can also try them for better conversion.

15. Use numbers in the Title if Possible

Powerful headlines matter as much as your article content and even more!

As a copy blogger says “Eight out of 10 people will read your headline copy, but only two out of 10 will read the rest.”

So always choose the right words in your heading that will attract more and more clicks. Numbers in your title can do this for you.

Numbers have the advantage of organizing your article. The visitor knows he will get an easy read point by point.

So, if possible, try to include odd numbers in your title. Because as per the research; the title with odd numbers gets more clicks.

16. Always use a table of Contents for Better ranking and optimization of blog posts

The table of contents helps users jump to the sections where they want to without scrolling all the page content.

You can add a table of contents within your blog post with WordPress plugins. There are many plugins available in the WordPress library that are very easy to use. Or you can also create your custom table of contents with HTML and CSS.

A table of contents will help your users to go straight to the point that they want to read. This will bring engagement to your content which leads to a higher ranking.

Also, if you have any of your post rankings in the top 10 results then make sure to table of content if you haven’t added it.

It will help you to get a featured snippet for that particular post.

Let me show you the proof.

17. .Use short paragraphs for more Engagement

This is the common mistake that writers commit and veteran, in writing long paragraphs. There’s really no bad thing about long paragraphs if they’re exceptionally engaging and interesting.

Here are some benefits of writing short paragraphs: –

  • Most Internet Users Scan, NOT read and, short paragraphs are easy to read and rememberable.
  • Short paragraphs grab more attention and they encourage reading.
  • Less Chance of Committing Errors
  • Helps reduce the bounce rate of your blog.

  1. Content optimization in my view is more of an art than a sheer content with keywords placed in it. A person who is writing content should know what user want so prediction of keywords plays a great role here. I work in a digital marketing agency where at first I used to work as a content developer but even though the content was doing amazing I was not growing professionally so I left it.Content can help you get ranked fastest but people go for backlinking of website my advice to all those would always be content is king so treat it as one.
